DesignEx

Wow time has flown -  lots to catch up on though, the first being DesignEx.  It is always great to go with an open mind and see what's new out there.  Products that caught my eye - for their boldness and uniqueness were:
Cole & Son and Radford Furnishing's exclusive collection of geometeric patterned furniture - how brave and great to see some colour!

I was keen to see Monique Franklin's company, Cyrus Company's, new range of imported furniture.  It harks back to the elegant  Neo-Baroque time with ornate carving and monochromatic colours.  The over-the-top exuberance of the teaset and giant rose encrusted teapot (which I understand Karl Largerfeld has ordered) was a reminder of what's going on in Europe these days and what one might expect to see in a beautiful Parisian apartment.
Spence and Lyda displayed their usual range of beautiful fabrics, especially by Missoni which is always eye-catching.  Another company I had not heard about previously, but had an enviable range of beautiful sheers for curtaining was the NZ company Sekers, distributed here through Julia Garner Agencies - definitely worth a look!  HG Furniture also displayed their usual selection of quality chairs.
