Elliot Clarke - Kelly Wearstler

Thursday, 10 May 2012

It was great to go to the Elliot Clarke showroom to see the latest exciting new collections from Brunschwig & Fils, Kelly Wearstler and Threads.  Sebastian gave a great presentation and it was inspiring to see such a beautiful range of fabrics.

I was particuarly keen on the heavy duty linens and raw silks from Kelly Wearstler.  She is a renowned American designer with a contemporary take on fashion as well as interiors and homewares.  Her use of natural materials and muted colours like periwinkle blue and smoky aubergine are really refreshing to see - very calm and beautiful.

The Sonoma fabric in raw silk comes in a delicious range of co-ordinating colours that you could easily layer to create a rich effect and atmosphere.

Tuesday 8 May

I was kindly invited to the Westbury showroom to see their latest collection of printed and glazed linen unions - Suzani / Treillage and Ikat Stripe.  Robbie and Angie in the showroom made me very welcome as usual.

Navy linens are quite scarce but absoutely in demand.  Check out their Luxembourg Linen, colour French Navy as well as their really versatile curtaining fabric Stonewash Indigo Linen col. Indigo with a pre-washed appearance.  Both fabrics are 100% Belgian Linen and great value for money.
