Design and Decoration 2013

I was looking forward to seeing the new collection from The Designer Boys and wasn't disappointed.  Gavin and Warren have produced a beautiful new, quality collection that touches all bases.  The use of natural linen as a back-drop for their intricate hand beaded textiles and artwork is clever.  They have introduced a lot of new giclee prints that would sit comfortably in residential and commercial surroundings.

Some of my favourites are:

Feather Abstract III

Indigo Foliage III
Warren explained that this was inspired by a visit to Istanbul and one of the motifs from a mosque.

Geometric Black Motif VI

Artworks can be viewed and ordered online at www.designerboyscollections.com or purchased through Boyd Blue in Sydney and other showrooms in Australia.

Another favourite stand was the vintage prints from Casbah Design. A lot of the prints are backed with original Italian vintage paper and some of the colonial images of elephants and tropical palms are really special.  www.casbahdesign.com

22-Black Elephant

Mar Paso Trading Co. www.marpasotrading.com.au had a beautiful range of linens of all weights and textures to die for...

The Wallpaper Company have come up with the novel idea of a removable wallpaper - I was immediately thinking about our entrance way that needs a bit of pizzaz - great idea so that if you get sick of it, it can easily be replaced - perfect for renters...  www.thewallpapercompany.com.au
