It was a great pleasure recently to be invited to the Domestic Textiles showroom for the launch of the latest fabric, wallpaper and rug collections from Sanderson. Chris Warren, especially over from the UK, was able to up-date us on the latest trends from Europe. The first Sanderson range of printed cottons was produced in 1919 so they have a huge archive to draw from.
The first collection was from the Zoffany "Town & Country" collection, featuring fresh and modern ikats and florals on linen basecloths, cosy velvets and tweeds - calm and soothing for elegant urban spaces or country homes.
Wallpapers were subtly textured and patterned.
The Richmond Hill collection is full of cheerful florals and classic motifs given a contemporary make-over. Matching wallpapers and modern paisleys give a timeless style.
