The Attributes of Hemp

I was recently put in touch with Beatrice and Ray Rankin of Hemp Gallery.  They have been in the hemp industry for 17 years, bringing the product into the mainstream and working for a sustainable future.  Did you know that hemp was grown throughout Asia before cotton was even used - and that Chrisopher Columbus sailed to America with sails made of hemp?   And no - there are no drugs in the cultivar that is used in industrial hemp!

Hemp textiles are the new linen and cotton for the future - they have superior thermal qualities, are anti bacterial, have high UV resistance and are durable with high rub rates. They are also perfect for screen printing on and come in a wide range of textures ranging from fine (combined with silk) or coarse.
